I wrote Eyes as one of a group of solo tracks I was working on with an ongoing plan to create an EP.
It became my favourite of the songs, and thus the one I ended up finishing.
My goal with this song was to make it musically diverse and interesting as well as lyrically thought-provoking.
I was working on the song with my sister (an accomplished singer herself), and we decided
to record her singing along. We did several takes, but the one that ended up in the song was the first, her laughing
at my lyrics and all. I liked the dynamic realness of the take, and I think it adds a nice levity to the track.

I'm excited to work on more tracks with her, and other musicians, in the future.
